Read this before submitting a Burn Permit Request

Important Notice: Fire Permits Required

Permits are required for anything that you want to burn at all times.

A season permit for making firebreaks will be issued to FPA members only if your burn plan has been submitted to your Area Rep (AR).

Non-members must apply for a FPA permit and a Tshwane permit for each individual burn. Once your request is accepted, you will be issued with an approval letter that must be submitted together with your Tshwane burn permit application. Once that has been received, you will have to submit that to the Fire Chief in order to be issued with the final FPA permit.

Note: Supporting documents are required for each permit application. These must be uploaded with your submission, or your application will be rejected.

The AR will review your request and either accept or reject it.

If accepted by the AR, the Fire Chief will review it again. If approved, members receive their permit via email. Non-members receive a CRRFPA letter by email; that letter must accompany the further application lodged with Tshwane Municipality.

The AR will also receive email updates reflecting the progress of the application.
